Bagpipe Funeral Service

A lone piper brings a moving and dignified presence to a funeral, helping to create a respectful and memorable farewell. As an experienced funeral bagpiper, I play at crematoriums, churches, cemeteries and graveside services across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, always in full Highland dress, and arriving early to agree the finer details with you or the funeral director.

What I can play, and when

Leading or piping in the hearse as it arrives at the church or crematorium
Playing the coffin into the service
Playing quietly during the service itself
A graveside lament at the committal, or as mourners leave

You only need to give me a rough order of service and what you would like. I'll coordinate the timings with the funeral director and make sure everything happens at the right moment, so your family doesn't have to manage anything on the day. There's more detail in my bagpiper questions and advice.

Suffolk: West Suffolk Crematorium (Bury St Edmunds), Ipswich Crematorium, Seven Hills Crematorium, Kirkley Cemetery in Lowestoft, Greenwood Burial Park at Farnham and St Michael's, Framlingham
Essex: Cam Valley Crematorium at Great Chesterford, Oakfield Wood natural burial ground at Wrabness and St Mary's, Boxford
Cambridgeshire: Huntingdon Crematorium (Kings Ripton), and parish churches at Alconbury and Soham
Norfolk: village churches including Fritton, Geldeston and Hempnall

Short-notice bookings

Funerals are usually arranged at short notice, and I keep time aside for them. You can reach me by enquiry form, email, WhatsApp or phone, and I'll normally reply straight away. If your date is close, please do get in touch, as there's a good chance I can help.
